Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Dutch Date LLC ("DutchDate") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & profile: name, email, date of birth, photos, preferences, and profile answers you provide.
  • Usage: device, app interactions, and diagnostic data.
  • Payments: subscription and transaction records processed by Stripe or the app stores (we do not store full card numbers).

2. How we use it

  • To operate matching, messaging, and safety features.
  • To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
  • To communicate with you and improve the Service.

3. AI features

Some features use third-party AI providers to power matchmaking and suggestions. We share only the data needed for the feature, under limited-use terms, and only after you consent to AI processing where required.

4. How we share it

  • Other members see your profile and the information you choose to share.
  • Service providers (e.g., Stripe for payments, cloud hosting, email delivery) under contract.
  • Law enforcement only as described in our Law Enforcement Request Guidelines and applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. After deletion we remove or de-identify personal data within 30 days, except records we must retain for legal, tax, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 24 months, and payment records as required by law).

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data from account settings or by emailing hello@dutchdate.app. Depending on your location you may have additional rights (GDPR/CCPA).

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

DutchDate is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will remove such accounts.

9. Changes

We may update this Notice. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and where required we will ask you to review and accept the new version.
